Fantastic Fresh Seafood! If you're in the mood for a no frills seafood joint Fresh Catch is just the spot. We started off with Clam Chowder and the Crab Chowder. Both were excellent. For entrees we ordered blackened grouper salads. Simple yet perfect. The fish was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed the food. If you're craving good fresh seafood, give Fresh Catch a try.

Really excellent experience. Small restaurant and market. D said some of the best crab cake he's ever had. Fish sandwich big and filling.

Simple place. Lots of fresh seafood to select from. Our favs: crab cakes, scallops, and the fresh fish sandwich - usually grouper or snapper. Key lime pie is amazing as well!

Once again, we leave this restaurant very happy after a great meal and great service. I simply love the ambiance, I wish more people knew about this amazing place. My husband had the oysters and Crabby BLT burger, my mom had a Snapper dish and I had Argentinian Shrimp Skewers. And we closed with the Best Key Lime Pie in Florida in 2024!

This a cool little spot in a strip mall on Tamiami Trail. There's ample parking and a couple of tables outside under the store rooftop. Inside is a nice dining room and bar seating facing the kitchen. A small "market" with fresh fish and shellfish is located at the rear of the dining room. Very casual. We were in for lunch and there was only one server, but service was excellent throughout and she was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and products like the canned non-alcoholic beverages. We started with Devon's Lump Crab Cake which lacks any filler as advertised. Basically held together with some mayo and served with a grilled lemon and house remoulade. Delicious! We took two home! I ordered the grilled triple tail (any fresh fish available grilled or blackened) on a melt in your mouth brioche bun with a little tartar sauce. Excellent! My wife went with grilled snapper tacos and she was very happy. Of course, we saved room for the famous key lime pie which was undoubtedly the best key lime pie we have ever encountered. They have a good wine list and beer selection as well as some interesting non-alcoholic choices! Go! If you're looking for fresh fish

This was our second visit, this time with family from Minneapolis near Christmas. WHAT a perfect delicious dinner on all levels! My daughter's family, very discerning food critics, said the Dungeness crab was equal to the best they had in Latin America. They inhaled their supper with gusto! We love the more natural low key atmosphere and the close proximity of the staff to the dining area. This helps them too in observing guest experience , valuable feedback. The fresh fish selection of approximately 8-10 varieties is impressive and well represented with truly delicious options. We had their fresh steamed clams in butter - - small super fresh and so sweet. Even saved the broth to make homemade Italian clam marinara later! And their crab cake was amazing. The "maraschino cherry" of our perfect dinner was their EXCELLENT key lime pie, home made by them, served with genuine whipped cream. Enjoy!!!

I can't even remember how many times the car insisted on returning to Fresh Catch! We loved their simple approach to basic prep of the best fish in the ocean and servers who brought the meals promptly to our table. A small spot, delivering BIG joy! Gosh I love fish and I especially love this hidden gem.

Landed in Sarasota and immediately came here to eat! So glad we were able to get a table without a reservation. I had a cup of clam chowder and the crab BLT. Mom had the mahi mahi dinner. We both got the wheat berry salad for our sides. The clam chowder was really tasty and I loved the presentation! Crab cake BLT was tasty, but I wish I would have gotten a fresh catch instead. The crab was a little too fishy tasting for it to have been a huge hit with me. The wheat berry salad was a little sweeter than expected. Those two things warranted the four, instead of finde, stars for me. My mom really enjoyed her fish and the service was fantastic! They were busy, but we never felt ignored or in need of anything.
